Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and CED Quiz Manager ("we", "us", or "our"), operated by Knopee Digital Services Ltd on behalf of the Nigerian Baptist Convention's Christian Education Department.

By accessing or using the platform at quiz.nigerianbaptist.org and related services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of your organization, and agree to comply with all applicable Nigerian laws and regulations.

CED Quiz Manager is licensed for use by Baptist churches, associations, conferences, and their members for the purpose of conducting Christian education quiz activities.

• Create and manage quiz competitions for your organization's members
• Upload questions, participant records, and organizational data
• Access analytics and reports for your account's activities
• Share quiz access codes with legitimate participants

• Share your account credentials with unauthorized users
• Use the platform for commercial gain unrelated to Christian education
• Scrape, copy, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform
• Upload content that is offensive, defamatory, or contrary to Christian values
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
• Use automated tools to interact with the platform without prior written consent

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access at security@quiz.nigerianbaptist.org
• We recommend enabling two-factor authentication for all admin accounts
• We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized account use where you failed to safeguard your credentials

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that show signs of unauthorized access, misuse, or fraudulent activity.

Access to full platform features requires a paid subscription. All prices are in Nigerian Naira (₦) and include applicable taxes.

Subscriptions are billed annually. Payment is processed through Remita. Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for new subscriptions. After 30 days, payments are non-refundable except where required by Nigerian consumer protection law. Refund requests must be submitted to billing@quiz.nigerianbaptist.org.

You may upgrade at any time; you will be charged the prorated difference. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

If payment fails, we will notify you by email. Your account will enter a 14-day grace period, after which access may be restricted until payment is resolved.

The CED Quiz Manager platform, including its software, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by Knopee Digital Services Ltd and is protected by Nigerian and international intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of all questions, participant data, and organizational content you upload. By using the platform, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process your content solely for providing the service.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our platform, interface, or documentation without prior written permission.

All content uploaded to the platform must be appropriate for a Christian educational context. Content must not:

• Contain hate speech, discrimination, or content that demeans any group
• Include theologically heretical or doctrinally misleading material
• Infringe on any third party's copyright or intellectual property rights
• Contain malicious code, viruses, or harmful scripts
• Violate the privacy of any individual

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these standards without notice.

We strive for 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be announced with at least 48 hours' notice via email and the in-app status banner.

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, CED Quiz Manager and Knopee Digital Services Ltd shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform
• Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
• Damages resulting from unauthorized account access where you failed to maintain security
• Technical failures caused by third-party services (internet providers, Remita, etc.)

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time.

Cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard. Access continues until the end of your billing period. Request data export before cancellation — we cannot guarantee data retrieval after account closure.

We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, fraudulent activity, or conduct harmful to other users. We will provide notice except where immediate action is necessary to protect security.

Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. We will retain your data for 90 days before permanent deletion, during which you may request an export.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation between the parties.

If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act (CAP A18 LFN 2004).

Nothing in these Terms prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief from a competent court.
